Up Pipe Decat

Up Pipe Decat
Hi,
New to the forum, i've had a search and can't find an answer. I've got a 2003 Blobeye WRX PPP Wagon.
I believe I've lost one cat already with the PPP kit. Is it worth replacing the Up pipe with an STi up pipe? I've heard horror stories of the cat breaking up and destroying the turbo?
Also will it need to be mapped if I replace the up pipe?
Many Thanks,
Scott

PPP doesnt lose any of the cats.
So you will have one in the up pipe, one in the down and centre one.
You would need a remap to make best use of replacing the pipe. Will also need CEL light fixing. Its a worh while upgrade to replace the standard one with an sti up pipe.
Cheers

Take a look at this diagram.
I purchased my ppp when I bought my car 7 years ago and there was no mention of cat removal. Just new chip, uprated fuel pump and new back box.
