best way to spend 3k ?
hi guys, basicly im getting a bonus from work and its going to be just under 3k
so my question is. whats the best way to spend it ?
blobeye STI with 67k on the clock standard except for a cat back exhaust and K&N panel filter. car is standard but will have uprated disks and pads fitted. so braking will be better, i hope ? loli was thinking uprated turbo and a good remap.
or would i be better going for engine work, bottom end rebuild then going for more power. i would like to see 350+ obv, fuel pump will need replacing but these are things that i should have got by then ?
one mate told me to just stick the fuel pump on, a decent induction kit and a remap. then when i get bored of the power go for the turbo then,
what do you guys recon ?

depends what you want out of it in the long run really! i know thats a stupid thing to say but if you want big power then forged rebuild but if your talking no more than 400 450 bhp then standard internals on a 2ltre are fine for that. correct me if im wrong someone.my blobeye is 400 bhp running with a td05 20g turbo (which are cheap) panel air filter decatted prodrive exhaust, again i might be wrong but if your "just" after 350 ish the standard fuel pump will suffice those powers. best bet is to call and speak to a good company. scoobyclinic are good but not cheap. scoobyspares at fleetwood are quite cheap and nice guys. if your wanting to track it or just like the stance howabout a nice set of coilovers? hhmmmmmm coilovers. have fun!

cheers for the reply, coilovers will be going on after summer, she's coming off the road in winter to get the handling sorted out well i think its going to be turbo and remap. then save up to get the engine forged once its got a few more miles on the clock dont want more than 400bhp. but might see whats needed to get her there haha

For me on my jdm it would be full milltek, lm400, 650 injectors and a remap. Have been thinking about it as had the car 3 years now and it would freshen it up so I feel like I have had a new car.

Your engines good for 400 all day long maybe 450 but then there's always a risk, a lot have done it and been fine, jdm can take 450 nicely and even upto 500 but then again it's risk.
I'd get big turbo, full decat, bigger injectors, fuel pump and map and aim for 400 if I were you
