easiest is simply call the office or drop an email as we have better pricing all year round for members

Millers or Motul would be far better suited than the Redline IMO

I know what IMO means, I was just curious as to why you had that opinion.

You gonna share?

Will give you a phone nearer to payday (31st may)

Heard redline is more suited to Trackday and uprated gearbox's and diff's for it#s shock proof level

Millers and motul are more suited to day to day and standard box's and diff's as thats what they wetre developed for.

Only reason i can think off. Either way there still good brands and suitable for what i need.

Millers, Redline and Motul. Pick the correct products and they are all suitable for track use.

I was just curious as to Alyn's reasoning for being against the Redline, but I could be left waiting for those reasons i feel.

Give us a call closer to the time and we will run through some options and sort you out a deal

Cheers

Guy.

didn't realise my character as well as my opinion was in question, time to tread carefully IMO

we don't just simply Retail product here and having built, stripped, examined and repaired various engines and gearboxes in everything from a std "shopping" car to extreme competition and drag use we get to see the exact wear, failures and anomolies thrown up by various specs and components and have tried most "miracle cures" or latest and greatest over the years..........

Redline gear oil (IMO & experience) tends to 'drag' on synchro's and actually increases wear whilst often feeling like it has "fixed" a notchy shift in use

we have never seen the same wear/failure issue using a comparitive Millers or Motul product - and we were using and supplying both of these marques long before it was the "fashionable" thing to do and will continue to do so

Thanks Alyn, just the sort of info I was looking for. Did you find this with all the Redline gear range or just Shock Proof etc? This is genuine interest by the way.

On an aside, I have come accross a gearbox manufacturer who will no longer use or recommend Millers NT oils for their gearboxes. Ive seen some of the evidence from the gearbox manufacturer, it looks interesting but needs further investigation. Funny how people get such different results with the same products.

Cheers

Guy

specifically Shockproof in both light and heavy weight...............

CRX75w140NT (and LS version) is enabling various customer gearboxes to live at way beyond the "safe" limit we would expect torque wise

Nothing against you oilman but Alyns completion experience is not to be sniffed at. Pricing is not my concern but his advise is first rate

Thanks Alyn, have you seen any pitting in gears after the use of shockproof/nt style oils in high torque/power applications? This seems to be a concern for some of the gearbox builders and manufacturers we deal with.

Cheers
