re: Impreza WRX 2005 Newage (blobeye)
since having angled exit 4.5" back box fitted and 3" centre pipe, always at start up the exhaust knocks against the prop shaft and also can be heard knocking at the front. the noise of knocking is also audible during low speed,
moving the exhaust by hand from the tailpipe end, seems to be very tight and solid, unable to understand how this can be rectified. the rear shockers have been inspected, and this has been ruled out.
the car went to Richard Henrys today for a GEO Set up, as never had it done since have car lowered on Eibach springs. Andy said the noise is there it may require detailed inspection as they could not look into this today as GEO set up took a long time to do, and they were also pushed for time,. all hangers and fixtures are in the right place.
has anybody else experienced their exhaust system knocking against the underneath of the car. Any remedy/suggestions on cure most welcome.

no its not the heat shield, thats fixed very tight. the car has no CATS, all been removed, and ported by Harvey smith , then thermal wrapped, its defo the area along the exhaust from centre pipe to the front of the car.

Mine does this too, only started when the centre pipe was changed. Everything seems in place and tight but its knocking somewhere in front of the passenger seat over potholes and at low speed turning. Its got to go on the ramps for a decat downpipe to go on so I'll have a good look underneath and see what I can find and report back.
