Default oil advice

Hi,

I will be doing an oil change soon. My question is, if i have part synthetic in my 02 bug at the moment. Can i simply drain that out and put in fully synthetic. It will be exactly the same make oil and 10W 40 just fully synthetic instead of part. Any guidance appreciated.

Hi

Yes, it's fine to go from semi to full synthetic, just make sure it's warm when you drop the oil out.

Cheers

Millers NANO-DRIVE fully synthetic 10w50

Cracking oil, not cheap, but worth it.

Alyn, even at our prices £60 is still pricey for 5ltr of oil. Millers would like it sold at above £70 for 5ltr.

Cheers

strangely enough having been involved pretty much from the start of Millers Competition products 10+years ago at Wholesaler level i am well aware of exactly what RRP's Millers would like to achieve............

we continue to offer YEAR round cost effective pricing as we have done from the very start

Thanks for clarifying that Alyn, I am sure Millers are very gratefull for your involvment and appreciate your help in acheiving their RRP's.

£60-70 for 5ltrs of oil is pricey however you look at it in this financial climate. I am not saying it is not worth it, just that it is pricy.

Cheers

Thank you everyone for the replies. That clears things up for me. Whilst oilman is here, is 10w 40 the right choice for an 02 bug with 93,000 miles on the clock?

Guy, what would you say was the better oil out of millers and fuchs titan. Just noticed you have an offer on your site for the latter one. I will place an order on your site later this evening for the oil, a filter and maybe some power steering fluid as well.

Both as good as each other, so take your pick.

The Pro S being on offer makes it a tasty option!

Cheers

personally the Millers CFS or more expensive CFS NT / Motul 300v ranges are superior than most other options out there

again based on examination and builds of various (mainly) competition engines
