Did you or they do anything with the fuel pump fella, might be something not just right.

Sounds like the seal on top the tank where the fuel pump is located

Have you checked that the charcoal filter (I think that's what it's called) has been reattached. I had the same problem, followed the lines off and realised something was missing.

Sorry for late reply peeps just been busy as a lovely stag deer totalled the front of my van! Great! I did all mods my self and the fuel pump I did 6 months ago and never had a problem.

I have checked the car from top to bottom and there are no leaks everything is connected and correct. It's now bugging the crap out of me as I don't want to turn in to a scooby fireball down the A1

I get this one my blob wrx. Fully decated. Getting a wiff of petrol fumes in cab. I can get the smell when i keep tapping the throttle at stand still. All my gaskets were genuin one and also put plenty of copper grease to get a good sealant. I have felt around all the gaskets but cant feel any blowing.

there is an issue with fuel lines under the inlet manifold, as you have had the car remapped you should be running higher boost, which also increases fuel pressure and that can make this problem more apparent than if it was a std car.

Subaru do a kit to sort it, they were doing it FOC but I doubt a car as old as yours would qualify especially as its been remapped.

But I expect that will be the problem

cheers
