Mapping time! What fuel to use?

Hi guys,
My car is being mapped on Tuesday, & I need to fill it up first. So I was wondering what you guys recommend using?
Shell V power was my plan, but recently the local shell garage became a BP instead. Of course I could drive to a shell station but with the nearest being nearly 15 miles away thats a little bit inconvenient!
What about BP Ultimate? Or would I be best putting up with the drive and using shell?
Cheers everyone,
James

I do have a local Esso. Always thought they were 97 & BP was 98 or 99, so cheers for that ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
If I got it mapped on Esso 99 then I could still run on V power, so that's an option. Although I have a feeling that our local Esso doesn't do 99, just says super unleaded so probably 97..
Tescos here doesn't do 99 anymore either!
I live in a rubbish area for petrol it would appear!

Ohh if that is the case then esso may not sell the 99 yet, as its only just starting to come out at the pumps. Saw it advertised the the tele few weeks back then went to check and there it was.

The answer is actually quite simple - use the fuel you normally use. It's silly to seek out V-Power for the mapping session if it's not a fuel you can obtain easily locally. Your car can be mapped using any fuel, even 95ron if that was the only grade available. Obviously, better results will be obtained using V-Power, Momentum etc but it becomes a pain if you have to do a 40mile round trip each time you need fuel!

I fill up at every opportunity. Luckily this time of the year I go to Silverstone, Donington and Prescott hill climb regularly and go right past a Tesco on my way home so fill up then.
I have had to drive 40 miles out of my way to get decent fuel quite a few times and it's a right pain in the ****!!

V-Power nitro+ is the best fuel but get it mapped on the fuel thats available to you and the fuel you will be using every day. No point in mapping it on v-power if the garage is miles away or you can only get 97ron.
