currently on z4 std ECU.
been told about the 6k ECU.
on ebay today there is a 7k ECU all be it more money
whats peoples advice on the 6k ECU, much difference??
or is it best to save and wait for the 7k ECU??

Tried a 6K ecu in my old 93wrx and it was great BUT for a few people running them it did cause problems. In my case it caused a MAP sensor fault code to be appear but no idea why.
7K is from the STI 2 RA (6K is from the STI 2) and I don't think there is much difference.
If you want to upgrade then I would suggest the ESL daughterboard,yes it's more expensive (approx £580 to supply,fit and map) but it gives you a whole lot more scope when addinbg mods to the car that the OE ecu will not cope with.
