Question 500 bhp

My mates come into a bit of cash and wants to know what it would take to get to 500bhp he has a 2000 turbo, what sort of money and mods does he need??
He wants the sleeper affect as its a wagon aswell, is it possible? I ain't gotta clue!

It not all about power, I recon 9k to do it with reasonable supporting mods.

I said that but my mate has that figure in his head, he don listen to me the mechanic lol I'm more of a lightweight and handling man!

I've done gearbox for 2k and clutch would be another 1k then brakes £800 then engine 3K-10k depending on how much cash you wanna burn then 1800 for turbo. Then you have suspension etc

I've told him a price now he wants 350bhp lol, what's needed for that, new turbo, fuel pump, intake, exhaust, intercooler be enough??

vf35 turbo or a td05 16 these will get close to 350 but if you want a tad more the 18g

intercooler either modded newage or front mount
injectors
clutch
headers
full decat
esl remap or apexi
3 port boost soleniod
fuel pump (walbro 255)
induction kit

dunno about the gearboxes on the 2000's but might be worth upgrading to a 6 speed

also got to think about stopping lol

Brakes should be fine, my mate decided bigger the better and bought 8pots lol, so it's pretty much what I had in mind for the mods to get there!
