Classic Shape front mount intercooler
hello all
new to the forum - was hoping some of you guys could fast track me to a good quality front mount intercooler kit for a classic shape impreza, I am looking for something where the pipe runs are no so long. the car is running 1.9 bar of boost.
Look forward to your response and leads
Cheers
Pete

What power are you running? I know this doesn't answer your question but a newage sti top mount are good. I have heard good things about the japspeed front mounts, there are better but depends on how deep your pockets are.

Cheers for the respose
Sorry I have not been clear - the car is used for rallying
I have run a STi top mount but with the anti lag and Aquamist water injection but I am seeing Exhaust Gas temps over 1000 degrees (actually ***) because it stops at 999
hence thinking front mount to reduce the entire system temprature
I will check out the leads listed so far but please keep em coming

Opt for a quality tube and fin intercooler with a low pressure drop.
If you want to minimise the pipework, you are best off just buying a core, rotating the inlet manifold and having some custom pipework made. Whether it is worth going to these lengths would be down to you to decide.
Feel free to give me a call if needed

The engine was built by Autosportif for a Mate of Mine when he has his new car a bought his this engine off him
we spun the Manifold on his new car along with the turbo, and fitted tubular Exhaust Manifolds also EGR - problem is its got very complicated and unreliable - (manifolds cracking etc) so we have just altered it back again to run a front mount, and junked the EGR and Tubular manifolds
I will consider anything but with rally cars I have learnt simple is better!

OK folks gone for a GT2 from Aztec will post a few picures on of the install - may not be relevant to most as a lot of the standard car is missing but may give you some ideas
thanks so far for the input and the lead to Bob
