Default clutch adjustment

Can you adjust where the bite point is on the clutch for the imprezas?*My clutch has done about 250miles. And the bite point is near the top. Does the rod by the brake pedal adjust this? If so am I right in thinking that the rod would need to be wound more in towards the inside of the car?

The rod can be adjusted to alter the pedal height and thus the total pedal travel. It won't actually 'adjust' the clutch, so the bite point will still be near the top of the pedal travel.
With just 250 miles on a new clutch, you should expect the bite point to be a lot earlier than that.

You will need to adjust the clutch switch as well if your car has one.
ps - this is very easy to do.
