Default Convert TD05 18G to Twin Scroll?

Im looking for a turbo for a JDM Bug STI and I already have an Andy Forest TD05 18G.

I have found this conversion kit and was wondering if anyone has used them and can tell me if they are any good?

IIRC the twinscroll turbo up-pipe fouls the bugeye sump and you have to change that as well............

thats not too bad as will want to change the up pipe for a decat one anyway, no idea if it will be any good though? with the price of a decent twin scroll in comparison seems like a bit of a bargain tbh?

You will need subaru equal length twin scroll headers ,sump for equal length headers,dipstick,twin uppipe,twin scroll down pipe ie downpipe flange layout is different to twin scroll
Will the tdo5 18g with a twinscroll exhaust housing work ie produce any more bhp than the vf37 thrust bearing twin scroll turbo or vf36 roller bearing twin scroll turbo
Then it mapping after fitting the turbo either Ecutek or opensource

really? the car is already a twin scroll as its a jdm so already have all that dont i? the vf37 will only make about 330 and the td05 should see about 380ish and will be a lot cheeper than getting a twin scroll sc turbo or similar as they will run well over a grand!

i dont know for sure as havent taken it into tdr yet but mark there thinks it should be on a vf37? he did say to be fair that sometimes they arnt. TBH if it is a VF35 id be happy as a lot more choice on which turbo to get

im not 100% but pretty sure twin scrolls were blobs onwards, not bugs.

My jdm bug had vf30, twin scrolls started from blob afterwards...

Why do people cant be arsed to know what spec their car is? , do your home work properly bud , some times they aren't ?? He knows **** then

Very early jap Bug STi's were a VF30 and then very quickly switched to a VF35....... both single scroll.

NONE of the JDM cars ever had vf35's fitted - this is the Euro spec turbo for 2.0 STi cars...............

03 onwards Jdm Sti's are twin scroll and twin scroll imprezas have no burble .All you hear is turbo spooling up and dump valve

Alright, calm down chap. Im obviously not up to date with my subaru fun facts which is why I ask the questions. Also I just said to mark it was a newage jdm so thought it was twin scroll, he told me to wait till he saw it to tell me which way to go with it.

No offence but he owns td racing and builds, maps and services subarus for a living so is gonna know alot more than someone trolling a forum looking to give someone s**t when they are looking for help

Everyone else thanks for the input. Im actually glad its not a twin scroll to be fair as going to be easy to get a different turbo and keep the sexy burble
