does my Scooby need an ECU re-map
#1
Recently had a full De-Cat exhaust fitted, after a few hundred miles i had the car on the rollers and the power plot now looks like above, as you can see the curve is not too smooth.
Although the car drives fine will this cause any problems later?
Have been quoted 625+VAT to get my standard ECU re-mapped.
cheers, peccy - MY00 Turbo 2000 (No mods except full de-cat)

1. What is the boost doing?
2. Does it drive smoothly through that range where it looks dodgy?
The rolling road plot looks a big odd - the line is discontinuous, what did they do with the load at that point? Could just be the rolling road? If I was handed that printout I would ask them to do it again and give me a proper plot

john,
1. havent got a boost gauge so hard to monitor the boost, but it feels ok, it comes in roughly about 2000rpm, (when the plot increases sharply).
2. it also drives ok all through the rev range.
had the plot done for free while being filmed for the Men&Motors show so couldnt really ask them for another.

I think dropping 50 lbft from 1750 - 2000 RPM would be quite obvious! Seems unlikely to be a boost problem too at that rev range. Sounds like it is just a weird printout to me. Can you get a Delta Dash log off anyone or a run on a Select Monitor paying attention to lambda voltage, knock correction, timing and airflow through that range? If it is smooth then I would not worry.
