MAF Test
Hi
is there any way to test that a MAF sensor is actually working properly.
I see when they go up for sale it says "full working MAF sensor", so how do you tell?
Many Thanks
Paul

with the ignition on you should have a signal voltage of 0, with the car at idle it should be 0.3 - 4.5 volts. If there is a problem then the code PO101, P0102 or P0103 will be stored.
DTC PO101 - MASS AIR FLOW
DTC PO102 - MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR
CIRCUIT LOW INPUT
DTC PO103 - MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR
CIRCUIT HIGH INPUT
DTC PO101 - MASS AIR FLOW
DTC PO102 - MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR
CIRCUIT LOW INPUT
DTC PO103 - MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR
CIRCUIT HIGH INPUT

CEL light is all about emmisions and not all codes will cause the light to come on, at least not going by my experiences but I could be wrong as I am no expert.
