Default finally a mdx321t on my 2ltr blob...

sent my t off to be billatised by mark at lateral (top bloke).
to get a phone call a wk later to say my turbo was errrr shagged!!!. to say i was gutted was a understatement as I was on a tight budget as it was.
the bill more than doubled but I said go ahead with it and rebuild it. the only thing left off my turbo was the exhaust housing and a back plate.
the turbo is now back on the car at carnetix (thanks becky and team) ...
and im waiting now for it to be mapped next week..
cant wait and hope to see good results.
thanks to all thats been involved to bring all this together...

Don't worry Craig I'm sure you will love it, especially on Meth. Is Simon mapping it on Friday?

Iv been there myself a few times & it can be hard financially, but if you want to play you've got to pay & over 400 BHP just doesn't come cheap. Let us know how it goes & good luck.
Richard.

As above Craig you will love Billet T on yours,we run T on 2.1L and has been just great turbo

What exactly has been wrong with yours T?

Do they replaced too CHRA,which will or can result in higher price for rebuild

How much you are made on previous spec with T?

And good luck

my exhaust wheel was basically destroyed as something had passed through it... ruining the bearings and the shaft. Basically matt at turbo dynamics said the turbo was basically gonna shake its self to death if id carried on with it.
it made 427 on rcm rollers a month ago..

Looking like they're replaced whole CHRA and they're not cheap, but seen few of them has been rebuild'd with good success

At least you have like new turbo, which is good,on opposite side agree is expensive

You will see how you get on,but I would expect you will make more and with better spool up

I hate to say it, but if something's gone through ( a screw or nut from the induction kit?) then you need to think about where it has ended up. In the engine? If you're lucky it may have been caught in the inter cooler.

I think the OP said this was the turbine, therefore unlikely to end up in the intake side.

I'd make an educated guess that the AFR sensor has dropped to bits on the previous owner and shot through it.

Hi Craig

I'm pretty sure you will make nice number with the new setup and should you will gain like on top end and on spool up

As I've seen few of the MD321T which has been billet'd and all of them made nice numbers on 2.0L or 2.5L(on 2.1L I think we are only run)

craigyp any updates on this?

I have the same car as you (I think you have a widetrack blob), I was thinking of going for the same turbo.

Was wondering how you're finding it on your car?

I have a knackered 321T, the bearing collapsed but similar outcome for the impellers. Does the repair cost make it worthwhile or is brand new a better option? Glad it all worked out for you!
