Default 02 sti uk ppp with issue

Hi guys

recently bought a late 2002 sti uk ppp and after a day of owning the eml came on, when i loaded up in 4th, i nursed it home and took to my local subaru specalist, but on way there the light went off again, i got him to plug it in and got the fault.

:P0171 System to lean (bank 1)
:P0134 02 Sensor Circuit (open) (bank 1 Sensor 1)

He said it was a momentarily fault not a live one,
he cleared the the codes any way, checked all the sensors and readings and commented everything seemed ok.

Any ideas why this happened and should i look into anything?

The car only has decatted Miltek system, and a Hks induction kit, other than that stock sti PPP car.

I'm a tad nervous as currently already own a classic with a big end gone,

Bank 1 is the front sensor pre any cats. Its either to lean from a leaking vac hose or similar or the sensor or wiring has failed.

As its both lean and heater circuit failure id check the wiring and plug for it by the o/s suspension turret

lol unmapped decat, it will soon blow up unless you get a custom remap asap.

id say its overboosting due to the lack of remap for the decat.

Too much boost Is making it run lean

I'd agree with Tommy... I put a full decat exhaust on my newage the other week... went out for a blast straight after and was pushing 1.45 bar! immediately backed off and after a couple of other mods and a new turbo being fitted today I'm off to Slowboy racing for a remap tomorrow been a long few weeks driving off boost!

Yep agree with overboost etc as above. But that normally shows a sensor 2 fault. With a powerstation rr printout at 330 that would be about right for a mapped car

Is it possible it could have lost the map?

It has been mapped or it wouldn't be running that power plus an unmapped car would throw P0420 (cat missing).

Sounds like it's Intake-MAF / front 02 sensor related and would check them first

the Rolling road was done at Powerstation and showing 393nm torque. which is only 290ibft not alot at all i thought, guess just have to book in a jgm

Edit Rang powerstation they did a ecutek remap and fit the full system, they mapped it to 1.35 but im only seeing 1.1/2 bar, so need to get it looked at really, pleased its been mapped tho. think it could do with probably a fresh tweak on the mapp.
