Default Engine oil for 300bhp classic import.

What do people suggest?

Milage, 7k a year.
The odd blast and three to five trackdays a year.

Cheers for any advice

A 5w40 or 10w40 are more than sufficient, especially when it gets colder

Cheers tony. So a good 10-40 fully would be ok for track use next month? I don't hold you responsible if it blows up lol

i would not suggest using a 5w oil (of any quality) in a classic...............there are exceptions but too specific for a general recomend IMO

10w40 is the std grade and for light track/modified use then a 10w50 - and will perfectly fine all year round unless your nearer the North Pole

Hi

Yes, a 10w-50 is going to be the better option if it's seeing track use.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-659-10w-50.aspx

The Nanodrive CFS is, on paper, the best oil available, but the Pro S and CFS are both really good oils, so all are good choices for your car.

Cheers

Tim

I pay £45-48 for 5 ltrs of Millers there
