Default manual boost control

hi i have a manual boost controller in my bay which way turns boost up , clockwise or anti clockwise.

1995 2.0 wrx with tdo5, hks full exhaust, apexi induction, lightened flywheel, exedy clutch, super afc ver 1, walbro fuel pump.

Yea definitely don't touch it, increasing boost without properly tuning the car isn't gonna do it any favors.

I agree with this...... messing with your boost without properly mapping the car is risky at best, especially on a WRX engine? Also manual boost controllers are usually inaccurate and unreliable!

However to answer your question, I would imagine anti clockwise will reduce the restriction in the vac pipe and thus bleed more boost away from the actuator, presuming its a standard thread. Obviously if you have a boost gauge you will be able to monitor the difference. If you have to turn it I would suggest no more then 1/8th of a turn at a time and see how that responds..........don't say we didn't warn you tho

i have a good blitz boost guage and the only reason i ask is im only boosting max at 0.6 bar and im sure with my spec, tdo5,walbro,hks full decat,heat 7 plugs,apexi induction,sti top mount, i thought it should be higher maybe im wrong,wot do you think?
