Default draining a couple litres of coolant

hi my water/antifreeze mixture is weak, a mechanic told me it needs a couple of litres of extra antifreeze, i dont want to bleed the whole system cuz he said there a pig to refill and get all the air out. Whats the best way to do this? cheers

Remove drain plug from bottom of rad and drain. You havent really got a chioce but to refill and bleed the system

They are easy to refill if you follow the guide to filling via the turbo hose and using a funnel. Do a search for it on here and you'll find it. This topic is covered almost every week.

As above, but DO do a search and DO IT RIGHT: it can't be bled if you airlock it, you need to start again.

you would be draining more and more concentrated antifreeze out if you did that, so it wouldnt' be the same as removing 2l of fluid and adding 2l of anti freeze.

No difference draining 7 litres or 2 litres you're refilling it anyway so do it properly

Good opportunity to refresh the coolant regardless of whether the existing fluid is out of ratio

ha ha i will know what the problem is so i wont have to bore you with that one.
On a different note is there anyway of checking what clutch you have with out stripping it down ? i want to get an esl and remap but dont know if my clutch will take it, i got it dynoed and it was 233bhp@10psi with turbo back exhaust and filter, im guessing it should be in the region of 290bhp after a remap assuming the td04 will boost to about 17-18 psi, its a turbo 2000
