has you mapper not provided any ideas or suggestions as to where it appears to be lacking??

most obvious one would be an over-size up-pipe??

Where was power measured?

Road mapped or rolling road mapped?

To be honest, with that mod list on a WRX, I'd have thought 298 was not an unreasonable result?

Is that a wheel or flywheel figure and as mentioned was it on a RR, if so which one as some are overly conservative on their figures. I would have thought 330-350 at the wheel would have been a good figure with those mods assuming everything is working as it should. Maybe try and get hold of an STI up-pipe and fit that instead of the japspeed one

As per your last thread Uppipe it's too big and yes get an uprated fuel pump

An equivalent STi would make IRO 325/310

And perhaps it needs a fresh pair of eyes over the map ?

Ok chaps, long time no see.

I happened upon this one so thought I'd fill some gaps. I had a walbro fitted before the first map. I was a bit concerned about the japspeed up-pipe when we fitted it, but at the time I didn't have an STI up-pipe to drop in. I did offer it to Kerry when he picked the car up but understandably he didn't want a load of pig iron cluttering up his garage!

If you guys have any other questions to ask to get to the bottom of this, feel free. I'll not be on too regularly but I'll keep an eye out.

Oh and it is a Prodrive sportcat.

Just a thought, and not accusing anything here, but as you havnt had the mods done yourself, have you actually checked it has the parts on the list you were given fitted?

I very much doubt the OP travelled up to the Co. Durham, to put the car on the dyno, Simon.

Printout will be from when Myles was stationed up here.

it does look laggy whcih could well be down to the uppipe if it is a bit of a large diameter (its a cold day looking at the temps on the graph so would expect it to spool well) but normally doesnt normally effect power that much but both power and torque are a little lower than expected but by similar amounts... peak power is fairly low in the powerband..

Its a fair question, the buyer takes the risk when presented with a list of upgrades on a car. I can, however, vouch for each and every component that i listed on the sale thread. I bought, 90% of them on here so I could probably trawl back and dig up all the threads.

I was happy enough with the performance, but Kerry is looking to go to the next level. It is apparent though, that the next level is actually the upper echelons of this level (if that makes sense!)

My advice to Kerry would be to spend £20 odd on an STI or classic up-pipe, swap it out, then get a mapper to look at it. It's the only way to be sure.

@JGM, I posted this dyno printout when I had it done, and the same kinds of comments about the curve were made then. I was happy at the time, Kerry has every right to get it right for him as the new owner.

More than likely 2" which is 7mm too big for that spec to spool tight and tidy

if i already have the car mapped how much is it going to cost to remap once up pipe is fitted....because if its 60 for uppipe and a further 500 for remap id prob leave as it is.

Yeah, have a look at the blob rear ends. The lights are subtly different.
