Default wheres mine?

just aquery really i have a m reg impreza import and i have noticed from pics of other engines with my reg they have wot looks like the abs unit in front left part of engine looking from front of engine to windscreen, mine is empty ,am i missing mine or is it somewhere else?

I've got a 95 import with no abs. Just more to go wrong. Don't press pedal too hard!!!!! lol

ABS was normally an option in Japan, i had a 93 WRX and it didn't have it so I wouldn't worry

cheers , wot boost should i be running mate i have td05,walbro,hks full decat,panel filter,380cc greys,top mount sti, im only boosting 0.6-7 but guy i bought off said i can boost to 1.2bar.is this right mate?

mmmmm not a chance unless it's been remapped.
Boost for the early cars is about 0.8-0.9bar.

im gonna check ecu in a bit wot am i looking for to see if its been chipped etc

I've just seen your other post about a manual boost controller,I would remove that and see what it boosts to (fuel cut is just over 1bar) so unless he's removed that it will not run 1.2 bar

Bottom right hand side you see a row of solder marks that's where the chip will go

so do i just take the tap controller off and join pipes?

Sorry don't know as I never fitted one,my garage did.
Use the 'search' on here and that may point you in the right direction.

ive checked ecu and it a z4 but no chip so i shoul d be boosting around 0.8 bar yes.

wots the best chip to put in, heard of polar chips, and eclipse performance chips, anyone go any views what i should do.
