Hi all..hoping someone can help me with this one..
Iv had cold starting issues with my 95 wrx wagon..before I go on its had a new cts, lambda, spark plugs and the fuel pump (walbro) has been checked and all ok their.
So my issue is when the car is cold it struggles to start first time. .mostly ending up with me having to turn the key again when she then fires into life..its all ok when running and only passed emissions at the weekend..
Basically im looking for other avenues to try as my wagon has turned into a restoration project so its not a daily runner at the mo..
Any help would be appreciated cheers

Could be anything mate, starter motor, air flow meter, blocked fuel filter, faulty camshaft position sensor, air leak............
Id start with the battery. How old is it? What are the earthing connections like?
Also, were the plugs gapped correctly before fitting?

Plugs were left as they are (brand new pfr6b's) the gap was about 0.7mm
Battery and starter ok and no air leaks..I guess il check fuel filter..also will their be a none return valve on the fuel line?

Did you check the gaps on the plugs? They are very rarely correct out the box.
Fuel return line, IIRC theres 3 pipes and I think its the middle sized one. Its been years since I tampered with the fuel lines so I cant remember 100%

I can only assume they were all gapped correctly as I only checked 2 but the same problem occurred before I replaced the plugs but if needs be il check more thoroughly again..I have a spare maf to try against my original. .I may have to do a video because I cant tell whether its flooding or starving of fuel..
