Sc40 billet do you need to grind the block for correct fit?

Default Sc40 billet do you need to grind the block for correct fit?

As above , went to fit today with gt spec 2 headers and it looks like it might be hitting the block before Being bolted down correctly . Anyone had this before?

Sc46 I had to grind the block/gearbox to make clearance for it.

This surprises me as sc say a true bolt unit but looking at sc46 and 40 inlet housing they look similar so think I may have the same problem , Strange !!!
