Default Fault code 32

Hi guys I've got fault code 32 up on my classic. I've looked it up and it's says that this is for the air fuel sensor. I've found out that there's 2 sensors one in the manifold and one in the exhaust. How do I know which one needs changing? Is it worth just changing both? Are sensors bough of eBay any good? Any help would be good as my cars running quite rich at the mo and my fuel economy ain't great. Cheers Taylor

What year is your car?

My old my99 used to throw a 32 occasionally if i was for example tramping up a hill on 5th gear - i put it down to overheating the sensor as it was still on std downpipe and sensor sits before it (only 1 on my99)

Anyhow after about half a mile over the hill the light would go off as i assume the exhaust temp came back down again - never needed to replace it

If it stays on permanently then replace, the wires can sometimes get melted on downpipe if its been tinkered with!

Tbh if its running lumpy or heavy on fuel then that's anoyher reason TOO replace the lambda. .

Ps you can buy universal onces from places like just lambda or Sutton auto factors.. you will need to change both to be certain and you will also need to find out whether you're lambdas are 3 or 4 wire items..

The front sensor would be the one giving drivability issues as this is the one that keeps engine at stoichiometric. Rear sensor only monitors the performance of the cat.
