Default No power

Hi all,
Any ideas as to why no power?!
Car sounds and runs normal under no boost but when you want the car to shift its pedal to the metal and it's not going!!!
No smoke, knocks etc...
Thanks, Sam

A bit more information would be nice. Have you got a boost gauge fitted? CEL lit up?

Hi
No boost gauge and engine lights all off.
I have had the car remapped and recently disconnected and changed he battery but surely that wouldn't affect it?
Car warmed up and cooled down all the time.
No over heating
No strange noises

Just merely when you try to floor the car it won't go!
It's like driving a 1.4 or something!

That's a strange one indeed! What model is it? Might be worthwhile getting it plugged in and checked for any pending faults if it's got OBD2.

Did it just happen when you changed the battery?

I find it very strange!
Will have a good old look in the day light on the weekend
What are should I be looking for any split or fallen pipes, or just all over?
Yes, it's first blip since I changed the battery last week and it just won't move!

Just taken the car out, fuel seems to be draining quicker too.
It's almost like a terrible turbo lag at about 4k revs between 40-60mph
Any ideas???

Just look anywhere that has small vacuum hoses! Look near the turbo itself and (on my car anyway) under the intake manifold at the right hand side. I found a hose off in there. There's a possibility that your boost solenoid might have failed or got blocked if you have no boost worth talking about. It'll sit about 7psi.

When it was remapped it had a 3 port boost solenoid fitted, surely this wouldn't cause a problem after 700 miles?!

It's mounted on the drivers side (RHD car) inner wing where the strut goes up in to.

I'll try to stick a photo up to show where it is!

Have a look on this page, it shows the 3 port system down the page a little bit:

Had a very quick look and feel, everything looked in place and couldn't feel any splits
Will take it back to the remappers me thinks!
