Jap import Vs UK

Jap import Vs UK
Hello everyone.
Finding info online can be proper difficult sometimes, so Just gonna ask here...
Is there anywhere that you know of online that lists the parts of a Jap import that are compatible with a UK version?? ('94 WRX Wagon)
I've been told by everyone to make sure parts I buy are for an import model, but not one shop or website specifies their products either way.
I need all sorts too..... Brakes, exhaust, filters and plugs, intercooler, even the central locking is playing up
It would be dead handy if anyone knew, and I wouldn't need to keep bothering you all with my problems so often.
Also, I live in France, so simply speaking to the guy at the shop on the phone is something that I try to avoid. Maybe I should get a landline phone......
Cheers

Also Mark at Import Car Parts lists a lot of OEM parts: http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts.asp?cat=96

I have to agree, I read that UK cars were available from around 94. Most of the parts will be the same, just go by the version numbers I suppose! Brakes always seem to be the one that gets fooked up a lot. I went to a parts shop for discs and pads. They got the rears correct but the fronts wrong. Best measuring the discs and go armed with that info. Or take one with you!
