Default HELP OVERFLOW TANK PROBLEM

Hi all so i have a 2003 blobeye wrx , and the bottle attached to the rad is full of coolant , should it be full or empty im confused as some1 said it should be empty an if it fills up sign of head gasket ??

could be head gasket, could be airlock somewhere. has any of the pipework been moved or dislodged?

Nope it is exatly what it does, its expanded coolent the system draws coolent from it and when it warms up it puts coolent back in, should be between min and max cold, if its bubbling over then there could be an issue.

It shouldn't be full.
In normal running the coolant should be at the high mark, approx halfway up the expansion bottle when hot, and at the low mark, approx 1/4 full when cold. This is normal expansion and should be as regular as clockwork.
If the expansion bottle suddenly fills up unexpectedly it means coolant has been pushed out from the engine and needs checking out by a subaru specalist.

In this case my car looks to be gine it dosnt overflow no unexpected colours , oil ect its just some1 has topped it up too much with brand new coolant as car just had a major service , thanks lads
