Default Quick oil help ..

Hi all .. Need to change my oil before I have the car mapped by Simon JGM on Wednesday

It's an 05 type uk STi

I've been told a good quality synthetic 5w-40 is going to be best ??

But which manufacturer ? And how many litres am I going to need ? Also will a oem oil filter be okay ? Or shall I for a HKS item and a magnetic sump plug ?

Any help appreciated ..

Jamie

Think the hks oil filters come with a built in magnet

I've just done a change on my 2005 STI. Used OEM filter from Scoobyparts and a magnetic sump plug.

I used Millers CFS 5W40 and my manual said 4litres. I put 4 litres in, let it settle but felt it was still just under full. Put another .5 litre in and it came bang up to the mark.
