Anyone had good or bad experiences with Ebay FPR ?
Just wondered if anyone has actually tried one of the cheap FPR's off Ebay ?
You see a lot of them for sale but not read anything on here about them making you engine blow up ?

I think your question is slowly answering it self,i personally don't like buying parts from eBay even name brand parts because of how much snide counterfeit parts is sold on there,as has been said before the fuel system is nothing to trifle with, buy from a reputable company then you know you are getting a genuine product and a part that is fit for purpose.SJ.

My car came with a ebay FPR installed by the previous owner, what was called 'cheap chinese FPR' by the mapper after we found that even maxing out the injectors and with every single stuff (fuel pump, injectors etc) in order the car was not performing as expected.
Before changing injectors, he thought it was better to replace the ebay FPR with a good one. I installed a RCM FPR and then the car started to run very rich at high boost. Was like a night and day change.
Result: ebay FPR couldn't deal with slightly higher pressure than stock (running some 1.2 bar today) and keep the AFR good, it was always running lean...
So, based on my personal experience keep away from the cheap/ebay stuff, or keep your stock FPR depending on the fuel needs of your project. Consult your shop or mapper before doing something.
Cheers.
