thanks Rob,
I think I found that, it has four wires running into it, disconnect the green plug and the fuel pump is inactivated.
I'm looking to connect an external bosch fuel pump via external relay into the car fuel pump control, at the moment the bosch runs all the time once the ignition is switched.
The problem is the wires running to the green plug are all live, switched or unswitched and I want one that is only live when the car fuel pump is running to connect into.
I may have to run wires back to the fuel pump at the tank otherwise.

I gave up on my classic- seemed to have found the relay but couldnt get the right wire (it really cant be that hard!)

My second pump fires off a relay connect to the wiring at the back of the car going into the tank! Works every time (Obviously connected outside of the tank)

there must be another factor with the wires coming from the relay which is bypassed when splicing in at the back of the car.
I'm going to run wire to the back now, it's given me too much of a headache.
thanks
