The devils work ?
So after literally just fixing my horn the next thing to go haywire is....
I called in to fill up with petrol (needle was low but no light on) dont normally fill to the brim , usually stick 40/50 quid in from empty. Anyway I may be taking a day trip at weekend so filled till the pump clicked ....... £66.06........oh dear I thought , thats ominous. Driving home not thinking and 10 mins into my journey I looked and the needle has just passed half a tank and no more.
I know the fuel gauge can be iffy , but by normally only going to half a tank has the bit in the tank decided to stick there ? Is it going to give up soon ? Wouldn't bother me as long as it tells me when it's nearly empty .

Could be a number of things. Mine did something similar recently. After testing both tank senders, all wiring and the fuel gauge all checked out ok. The only thing I didn't check was the micro computer. I opted for come new clocks at a price of £70 rather than a new computer at about £120. New clocks fitted and problem solved. This was on a 2005 sti btw
