Default Starting Issue

Hi

Started about two weeks ago, ignition firing ok, but wouldn't start. Like it's starved of fuel or flooded? Also had new plugs in the summer, when it does fire it drives ok, but tonight it wouldn't fire at all, ignition would though.

95 wrx import, had it in a garage, said the pump seemed fine, suggested a new crank sensor, which I fitted but it's still the same?!

Thanks
vanny

Quite possibly a temp. sensor which is making the ECU think the engines hot, therefore not allowing enrichment for cold start.
There's been various threads about cold start problems - try a search.

Thanks mate

Had it in a garage, started every time?!

Replaced crank sensor, cleaned up cam sensor, fitted a new throttle sensor, they found that the throttle sensor on the accelerator was disconnected.

Now seems to over fuel and pop in the exhaust more than normal, get the feeling it will struggle to start at some point, just very intermittent?!

Few suggested it could be temp sensor, but replaced this last year.

Dunno, keep going, spend more and more money replacing things til it's fixed?!
