PPP vs dawes=+ decat
#1
Ive read loads of posts about PPP vs dawes and a decat but what i want to know is as ive got a PPP on my my98 turbo can i fit a dawes and or a decat front and middile pipe ?.
If possible id like to keep the Prodrive back box but if the power gain was worth it i supose i could be persuaded to change it.
Are there and problems with dawes devices or full decat systems with Prodrive ecu's ??
many thanks
Andy

You've already got a de-cat centre. You could fit a decat DP and this would make a noticable difference. You could also then fit a Dawes and this would again make a noticable difference.
There is no reason why you should have to loose your PPP BB and the PPP ECU has a higher fuel cut limit so you can run more boost with the Dawes on a PPP ECU than you can on a non-PPP ECU.
PPP + DP + Dawes is a good combination. Ask John Banks, this is what got him started on the slippery tuning slope

If you're going for a Dawes then I would get a Boost gauge and an AFR gauge 1st so you can check that it's running the right amount of boost and that it's not running too lean - this is pretty important!!!
