put a thread up earlier and i had a response of "you must line hone the main bearing tunnel block faces" im not doubting this in anyway just wondering is this a must??
one half of my block has wear in the bore water marks or something so my engine guy is using a known good half for me.
also is it wise to get both block faces checked as original engine sufered a HG failure and heads needed skimming.
thanks.

i would say yes 100% to both you wont get any better advice than paul finch offers you, the line boring applies the same to a conventional engine if you changed the main bearing caps, so it wouldn't be any different to you changing half of the block
