Default Uprated Mounts - Group N

ive a 06 STI and looking at uprating the gearbox mount as i can feel slop in it when driving.

is there much of a differenence between Group N & std STI gearbox mount? or is it better to go for the Lateral one

http://lateralperformance.co.uk/prod...t__modified__/

i had read that 55/06 hawks got a different type of mount, plastic liquid filled jobs but this was then reverted to the earlier vulcanised rubber mounts in 07 onwards was this true on euro cars or just a usdm thing?

It's well worth fitting the Grp N engine mounts, the pitching stopper and the gearbox mount in the link you've posted.
I got mine from RCM but I'm sure they're the same.
I've also fitted Grp N diff bushes and the difference on my Hawk Spec C was very noticeable. No more slop!

Fit the RCM one or import a Beatrush one.

I had this on my 06 STi which is the RCm modified one

http://www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.u...productID=2480

And this is the Beatrush one I have now on my S202 and WRX

If you want engine mounts from the UK, again the RCM supplied Group N ones are great but the Vibra ones are better and very similar to the Beatrush items

http://www.vibra-technics.co.uk/suba..._mount_sti_wrx

This is the Beatrush Item

Yeah that rcm one is the same as the lateral one in my first link. I was gonna uprate that first to see if it done enough

seen the vibratechnics one and also emailed to see if they done a 6spd mount, and although they dont do them theyd drop a 5spd one the extra 5mm that is required for 6spd

Shame the Hardrace ones aren't well reviewed, I run these on my classic (got them from Apex) and love them, do everything you want from uprated mounts but with minimum added NVH

supply both the STi ands Hardrace ones and have never had any issues with either sets..............

the Hardrace are very good value for money IMO albeit maybe marginally not as good as the genuine STi versions

Dont think its the hardrace that arent well received. I was referring to the 'Megan Racing' ones that are in the ebay link getting bad reviews in US

whats the price on the hardrace mounts?

From researching these and other bits I thought the Megan and Hard Race bits where the same but just with different branding
