I'm after a bit of technical advice from anyone that's clued up on engine building....

I buy & sell interesting new & used motorsport parts and have recently acquired some various different forged 92mm bore pistons and as this is the same bore as used in various Subaru engines I was wondering if they could theoretically be used a special one off engine build?

Pistons forged are they the same as Forged Pistons

gudgeon pin size & compression height as well as crown design, etc. will all have a bearing on suitability...........what was their intended application?

 

Looking at the add they're Indy Car pistons and not at all suitable for an Impreza engine !
