Default under bonnet insulation/ sound deadening

my 20 year old scooby under bonnet insulation/ sound deadening has had it , so apart from the obivious second hand route , anyone know if you can still get these ? , if not is it ok to run without ? , and while we are on it , turbo heat shield , same as , ok to run without ? , cheers .

On my 04 sti, I removed the bonnet pad years ago. Dint make any more noise and it gave me more metal to polish. . Happy days. I think they look gash anyway. I believe the reason they are there is that in an event of fire, the clips melt, the pad then drops and smothers the fire. Supposedly.

As for the turbo shield, I wouldn't run without one. I replaced mine with a turbo blanket to go with the wrapped downpipe.
