I can say that tuners advise to use them, also can say that tuners advise using plasticine. Unless they are willing to provide evidence as to why they don't use them its just opinion, I know of Evo's and Impreza's built to silly power using ACL Race, with no issues.
Only issues I know of are people rebuilding after a head gasket, with oil and water mixing and NOT changing them. As the coolant eats bearings for fun.

I am not taking the **** out of you at all. It was a valid point. Im am still wondering what reason there is not to use ACL's? I genuinely would like to know as I will be using some soon. Do you have anything other then your opinion on this?
Just because a builder uses something else doesn't make everything else a poor product. The comment about uprated pumps baffles me too... I can say forged engines are a waste of time... But that doesn't make it the truth.
To the OP I have no idea. You look at places like Camskill and their stuff is quite a lot cheaper then other places and it is all genuine. I can get a genuine HKS SSQV from Nengun for £145 compared to about £300 elsewhere. They are also genuine. So bargains are out there (So is over pricing) but so are rip off's and fakes.... I would go somewhere established for important stuff. Camskill and ICP get my vote. RCM are great but expensive.

all so they are a lot harder so if some thing goes wrong .they have more chance in taking out your crank .so on the rebuild you will have to buy new crank and bearings .but using mahle you got a good chance in just replacing the bearings

And also because of Eccentricity.
And if anyone is going to claim about products or methods being incorrect etc, please post up the source of this information, as we all would benefit from learning things. As no matter how "experienced" you are, the day you fail to learn something, or explore something, is the day that things will start to go wrong.
It's not a personal attack, not a childish thing, but called peer review. Most scientific theories and processes go through it, and showing your evidence and explaining is how you do it. Saying "Oh I was told by a tuner...." is only going to bring comments of disbelief, no matter how liberally WRC is thrown in.

We started using ACL bearings over 10 years ago, one of the first in the UK to do so.
We fit ACl mains and big ends in everything. NEVER had a problem.
But we build engines carefully, not just bolt a pile of bits together. Prodrive WRC engines used to use Clevite to my knowledge, but as they got thrown away after 1000 miles it really didn't matter what they did.
I am almost certain that most other serious professional UK engine builders use ACL too.
