Thumbs up group buy on carbon bits

iam getting some carbon bits made ie,pulley cover, fuse box cover, battiery cover + someother ones later as in air box etc

not sure on the prices yet, i will have the first 1 in the next week or so and i will post some pics as soon as i get them ,THESE ARE NOT THE CHEAP AND CHEESY LOOK ALIKE ONES LIKE ON EBAY,

just want to see how many people would be interested in them, just start a list if you fancy some,i think i can get them in coloured carbon as well, ie hint of blue or red

the bloke thats going to make them made a boot lid for a scooby weighin at 1kg and hes just making some doors for a skyline, so they are the proper thing

thx

simon

ps these are only for classics at the minute i will have a look at the other later sorry

Not sure battery cover is a good idea. Unlike say ABS palstic, carbon is conductive, it'd be like making an ally battery cover.

Depends why you want a battery cover I guess, if it's to stop the contacts touching something metallic then carbon is not clever. If you want it to tidy up the engine compartment and there are plastic terminal covers underneath it then OK I suppose.

Thumbs up

it will have the bits cut out where the contacts are so it shouldnt touch it.

fulham just got email back off pete here u go

, i can do both methods.
The matt finish that i described is the Auto clave or Pre-Preg carbon, and
the glossy finish is the cheaper "wet lay-up" material (which is effectively
just fibre glass and what most carbon products are made from like bonnets
etc).

thx

so he can make up carbon fibre intercooler pipework?

interesting.

Might be interested in the accessories cover etc. not so keen on the battery idea.

if you have some pics on what has been done it would be helpful.

Wet laying is a bit naff, especially for body panels.

If he could autoclave doors and boot lids, that would be a useful contact, assuming he is good. Been burned before.
