Brake brackets for 2 pots rears to fit classics
How would you like your classic to have these brakes on the rear?
Using these.
Easy DIY fitting with full instructions (see Link below)
I need 6 people to make it worthwhile doing a run, but I'm sure if we get more it won't be a problem.
All those that have expressed an interest in these over the last few months will have a PM shortly.
These brackets allow you to fit the New age (MY01>) WRX 2 pot rear calipers and discs to any Impreza/Legacy currently fitted with single piston sliding rear calipers.
All you need are the Calipers, discs and pad from a MY01-05 WRX (Not STI or Classic JDMs as the discs are different, though the calipers can be used) and this bracket kit.
The kit will contain a pair of brackets and mounting bolts.
No special tools are needed to fit so no drilling or tapping of threads. They are a direct bolt on!!
Fitting instructions with pics here: http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=428646
I ran the calipers on my car at Scooby shoot out and they have had some hard use in the 14k miles since and they still look as good as the day I fitted them.
You will be impressed with the quality of the machining and when anodised look very professional. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but the finish of these blew me away
The brackets will be hard anodised grey (sort of anthracite colour)
Or you can have them in Red or Blue for £10 per pair extra.
This is the simplest way to upgrade your rear brakes to 2 pots. If you have a jack, a socket set and a little know how this is a doddle
The bracket kit works out at £150 including anodising mounting bolts and Postage
Get in before the rush.
Iain.

Ive seen the rear calipers at Grade A website going for £60 each I think.
There are loads of subaru breakers who might have a better deal on the whole set up. (disks, pads & caliper). It might be worth a try calling a few.

Scoobybits
Grade A
etc.

Its taken me a while to get my 2 pots fitted to the car, but I fitted them yesterday.
I took my time and cleaned and copper greased the 2 pot calipers, fitted the grooved godspeed vented discs and the important bit the nicely finished brackets.
The fit is perfect from the brackets-thanks Iain.
If your fitting them yourself, then make sure that the mating surfaces are perfectly flat,as mine were quite corroded and needed a good clean up in that area and use thread lock.

Sorry I didnt take any. I have just type up a full list of the steps I took and tried to save it and the internet crashed. Arrrrgh
It is straight forward , just take your time. If you dont feel upto it then a garage should only take a couple of hours to do both sides. I took all day but wasnt in a rush.
