Default Group Buy on Defi Link Gauges updated info pg 2 - 14/02/06

I was talking to a boy this evening about getting a Defi package for myself and he was asking if I would be interested in setting up a group buy to save ourselves some cash (and give him more profit at the end of the day).

He is in the process of setting up a deal with suppliers direct in Japan and will e-mail me in a couple of days with a price.

So the more of us wanting stuff the bigger the discount

Graeme

I would hope he would be able to offer whatever defi have in their range, I should hopefully have all the details in a few days.

When I was searching around for a setup for myself the cheepest quote i got was for 500 (edited 550) for

boost, oil temp, oil pressure gauges, pod and controller

he is hoping to be able to beat this

interested - you can get 3 gauges and control unit quite easily on e-bay - however extra sensors will push the price up a lot

^^^ Thought they all came with sensors?

Would be interested in a set of the normal white faced ones, not BFs. Can get these for just over £400 (boost, oil press., oil temp., control unit) from a UK supplier so would need to be a reasonable saving to justify getting them from Japan. This also assumes they can be sneaked under the customs radar I guess? Pods can be had for £60-£70?

I guess so. The £400 I got for white faced Defis, boost, oil press., oil temp., and control unit was from the Xtreme Scoobies web site: http://www.xtremescoobies.ltd.uk/

Expect ScoobyMania would do a similar deal.

Is that a special deal somewhere not listed on their website, as the price list there lists oil pressure, oil temp and boost in BF white with control unit 2 at £467.35 inc vat but not including the pod!

Sorry that's for the normal white Defi Link ones that I want not the BFs. Prices aren't bad though. See what this chaps contact in Japan can come up with. Might be worth talking to XtremeScoobies for a group buy price though?

Here's a copy of the mail I received today :-

Part # Brand Model non Delivered Price £
DF05001 DEFI Link Control Unit II £70
DF04301 DEFI BF 60mm Boost Gauge £108
DF04801 DEFI BF 60mm EGT Gauge £122
DF00806 DEFI BF 60mm Fuel Pressure Gauge £122
DF00706 DEFI BF 60mm Oil Pressure Gauge £122
DF00906 DEFI BF 60mm Oil Temp Gauge £97
DF01006 DEFI BF 60mm Water Temp Gauge £97
DEFI BF 60mm intake manifold gauge 108
DEFI 60mm 3 gauge pod 75

Hi Bud
Above is a general idea of price at moment depending on size of order i will get more discount off these prices.
I also will need to know order size to work out the shipping as well as it is cheaper the more you order but i will get a shipping price for 3 gauges and pod and controller shortly just the japs can take their time sometimes in replying.
I will be able to reduce these prices a bit more just need an idea of order size to do so
Cheers

Pls note this is without postage as yet, I have also asked if these prices include sensors etc, and how many people we would need for what discount

I was talking to the guy last night and he is still waiting for emails back on how much postage will be and if the gauges come with the sensors etc.

If this whole deal thing is going ahead I think I would be looking at getting the orders in for the 1st week in April, to give everyone enough time to put the cash by.

Have also asked about the white faced ones
He did say the only price he has been quated for guage pods is for the New shape, and does not see classic listed, but he again is going to enquire on this

I'd be interested. But i'd like the black face, green illumitation normal gauges (not BFs) to match a MY06 instrument panel. Are the normal gauges any cheaper than the BF prices posted above?

Tony.
