the sale section shows the LCD version not the VFD version for this group buy - the VFD version is much brighter and can be seen in daylight and at angles whereas the lcd is a little hard to see.

get your name back on the list - you know it makes sense

Are you sure about those bits? I thought that was just the VFD graphical display, doesn't the normal VFD have the same features as the LCD. I.e only additional oil temp and pressure and no data recording???

Tempting price tho

ECU and fault code reset.
Shift light control.
User adjustable alarm monitoring of : - battery voltage high and low, boost pressure, coolant temperature, oil pressure and temperature via additional sensors.
Water injection/nitrous control.
Record peak reading for engine speed, boost pressure, road speed and coolant temperature.
Clock.
Plug and play fitment.
User selectable options for unit display ie. bar or psi, degrees c or degrees f, mph or kph.

I may be missing something here but.... where in that description does it say it will display EGT and record data like first posted?

From reading previous descriptions the additional features of the graphical VFD over the normal VFD are it will take EGT and fuel pressure sensor inputs and also record data (as well as have a nice graphical display).

Simon needs to confirm that obviously. Either way still a very good price, but the data recording features would be attractive

EGT and Fuel Pressure are only available on the Graphical units NOT standard VFD units that are part of this group buy, EXCEPT on post 2001 WRX ( not STi ) models that do display EGT via the ECU,.

All units show a peak reading for engine speed, boost pressure, road speed and coolant temperature.
Oil pressure and temperature peaks are shown if additional sensors are fitted.

Is the data recording only on the graphical version?

Nevermind... i was thinking of actually logging data, which could be downloaded at a later date. Maybe CSV file which could be imported into Deltadash via a SD card.

A future feature Simon

Maybe interested and have a few questions:

Would be after one for a MY00 Classic, I assume that price includes the pod?

Any chance of a group buy price for the oil temp / pressure sensor kit?

Can we choose the colour of our VFD, I notice on the PSI site it says they come in blue, you can then buy filter for other colours for £5. I'd prefer green and would sacrifice the blue option for £5.

Other than that need to consult the bank manager

Cheers,

Graz

We can offer green VFD filter for the same price, if ordered with a data monitor we will offer oil press/temp kits for £155 + vat.

Default Hmm tempted

Hmmm very tempted

Couple of questions myself though- I have a MY05-

Can oil sensors be easily fitted after (ie when ive saved up) installation?

I have a lot of wiring in behind and below the DIN space - this would replace my forester flap- (ipod adaptor and its wires) does the PSI3 have much more?

Can you, for instance, set it up to display rpm AND boost, rpm and temps at the same time, etc for comparative purposes?

Whereabouts are you for installation?

Cheers

My mate recently fitted a PSI3 unit. It only has a single cable that plugs into the OBD socket under the steering column. He has placed it in the standard radio slot along with a single DIN headunit, so yes it will replace your pocket without a problem.

Simon will be able to answer all the other points of course.

Andy.

Yes additional sensors can be fitted at any time, the unit has the software and interconnects already.

As stated above one cable for the OBD interface, this provides power, ground and signal.

You can display up to 4 items on a page, these are user configurable.

We are based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire - 5 minutes from M5 J13.

Fizz, oil temp only £67.50 + vat. there is a massive range of colour for the VFD filter material, we prefer the blue because it seems to be the brightest, white is an option, it you want to come down you can have a look at the samples we have on a working unit.

Our monitors MAY work on your car. 1998 was the year some models were made OBD compliant others had the socket but were not fully compliant therefore will not work.
We offer a full refund if your car is in the latter group.
