Group Buy On ScanGuage 2
Morning all,
Been talking to Gareth @ UKOBD about organising a groupbuy on there ScanGuage 2, Basically the unit is just like the PSI3 Data monitor that you used to be able to get hold of.
this is a picture of the item you would be buying
here are some of the features of the Scanguage Unit
Trip Computer
Automatically tracks four sets of trip data - Each with 11 individually stored parameters.
* Maximum Speed
* Average Speed
* Maximum Coolant Temperature
* Maximum RPM
* Driving Time
* Driving Distance
* Fuel Used
* Trip Fuel Economy
* Distance to Empty
* Time to Empty
* Fuel to Empty
Digital Gauges
Display 4 gauges at a time from the 12 built-in digital gauges. the information is presented in Real-time!
* Fuel Economy
* Fuel Rate
* Battery Voltage
* Coolant Temperature
* Intake Air Temperature
* Engine Speed (RPM)
* Vehicle speed (MPH)
* Manifold Pressure (not available on some vehicles)
* Engine Load
* Throttle Position
* Ignition Timing
* Open/Closed Loop
Scan Tool
The ScanGaugeII allows you to troubleshoot your own car, read error codes, and the conditions present when the error occurred. You can also turn off the “Check Engine” light and avoid those costly trips to the mechanic.
* Reads Trouble Codes
* Reads conditions that set the Trouble Code
* Clears Trouble Codes
* Turns off the "Check Engine" light
* Tells you when vehicle is "Ready" to pass OBDII testing

My mate has one of these and it cant/wont read my JDM ecu?
We tried everything it said in the book and it still wont cant read the ECU. Its a standard ecu with ecutek map.
Does it actually support JDM cars?

I have asked the question about the jdm ecu, I was waiting for the lad above to inform me what year of car he was fitting it to, as said above they will only work 2001 onwards and late 2000 models.
cant see why not, as iam sure the newage jdm ecu is the same as the uk just different setup they are all denso units but will hopefully have answers by morning

I've had one of these for sometime now. It comes with 2 velcro pads so I've had it stuck down near the clock pod and ran the cable out of the back (you can do side entry too) then in between the screen and the dash and then into the socket. It cable tied up so it doesn't go anywhere near your feet.

Seeing as I have a double-din headunit... the blendmount would be the only feasible way of installing this.... bit pricey though.

I`d just like to make sure it`s compatable with an `03 JDM.

right for those who require the Blendmount bundle Yes it can be on the group buy also but the discount code i will produce is different to that of the scanguage unit itself so when you pm me please state which you want.
either
scanguage or blendmount bundle.
as for working with a jdm ecu this is the reply I got from gareth.
JDM is not covered by the EU regulations so it is difficult to advise. Generally as long as it is post 2001 it should be OK.
