I bought a Sony CD player from a SN member.
Unfortunately I think the posty gave it a good kicking.
When installed it make a constant wirring noise and will not load a CD
Looking for someone local that can test it for me, and possibly repair.
Anyone know of such a person/company in Warwick/Leamington Spa/Kenilworth area?

You could try Clarendon Car Radio in L'Spa.They didn't used to look at anything they aren't dealers for but I think that they handle Sony - so you should be OK. They've been around for years and I have talked to them recently about an upgrade to my 02 STi.There is also a place down the bottom end of Leamington (bottom of Parade , turn left at the lights just under the railway bridge, then about 100m on the right)but I have no experience of them.

Take the top off it, it sounds like the mechanism which loads the CDs has come unseated. After that, try Quantum Mobile Media in Coventry (ok, warwickshire-ish) and see Gurch. Tell him Nick sent you
