Just had a quick look at the CDT speaker site. They have these tweeters than help raise the stage a bit. Has anyone tried these??
Or tried other methods

I am using DLS 6.5's and want to keep them.

Cheers

I'd be very interested how you get on - I've got CDT kit for my other speakers, so...

What's the damage for them?

Might order a set... Will be next month though due to the bathroom being a bottomless pit of money and expenditure!

Why would you need to?
It looks like a re-hash of an old idea to me - namely mounting a pair of tweeters behind the rear view mirror, attenuating them and dispersing highs (say over 8K) over the windscreen.

Where are your tweeters at the moment? Do you have the ability to angle them? If so, I'v always found that if you can angle them so that they both 'fire' at the roof lining in between the front seats you should get a decent high image.

The problem these days is that the majority of tweeters tend to be metal-based (which I personally hate!) which sound a little harsh and can be very directional. A silk dome tweeter is far sweeter, with a nicer spread IMO. Funny how the CDT tweets are silk-domes...

Im with gary on this one... the easiest way I think to raise the sound stage is to position the tweeters with blu-tack until you find somewhere that sounds correct... Ideally the path length should really be the same as well.. I have my tweeters in the kick panels on my scoob, and I was quite suprised as to how good they sound where they are..

Basically, I agree: get it right and it'll be better... But if there's a way of augmenting the stage without phasing issues then it's got to be worth a try?

I know just what you're saying, but CDT don't normally release un-necessary stuff at all, so I'm interested in hearing them, particularly has I have their HD62DT and CL51 setups.
