I'm looking to replace the (dire!) factory-fits in my P1. From reading this board it appears the standard door speakers are ~17cm (6.5")... but there's been no mention of the size of the tweeter mounting point provided in the doors. OK, it's not an ideal location but my car's 18 months old and still under warranty - I don't want to go ripping it to bits.

So... I just wondered if anyone had previously tried to drop a set of Infinity Kappa 60.5CSs in as a direct replacement. If so... was it a simple job or are there any gotchas to look out for?

I've fitted the 605cs into my RB5 with no problems.

The only gotcha I can see with the newer 60.5cs is the mounting depth.

Mine droppped straight into the OEM plastic speaker housing, but any deeper speakers wouldn't fit and I guess you'd need an MDF collar.

Have a nosey around my website as I took some pics while I did the install. The door layout should be exactly the same on your car.
