But Halfords do PRICE MATCH.. i popped in our local one.. they had Sat-Nav+DVD set up 'Pioneer'... nearlt £3.. but as CarElectronicsdown the road cheaper thay'd do it at £1800 with price watch!! It was the all singing all dancing set up... i think its like what Fulhams got

Clarions navigation is not as good as kenwod, it is only CDrom and not DVD

 

true, i've heard that, i think clarion search by road name while the kenwood does postcode search. The 928 really is a bit special, and cel do it at £1200....hmm. Alpine do a touch screen?? Which one? The clarion is on my list but after a 'touch' of brake fade I think 4 pot upgrade is required first.

 

hmm, newimage has the cheapest clarion I've seen yet by 40 quid, but cel do alpine a fair bit cheaper. The new alpine range is out in a couple of months, and this looks like it'll include a touch screen dvd player and maybe a lower priced tv head unit like the 1003 if the US models are anything to go by.

 

cant make my mind up, thought about the clarion but the touch screen kenwood and alpines look so much better but the clarion's spec is very good for the price

 

My local hafords are doing their ex demonstrator alpine unit for £599. Not sure which model but its the one that has the CD DVD player built into the unit (I think)

 

that is the alpine, last years model.
