Check out the ebay prices for some of the latest Pioneer navi kit. God it's tempting!!!

Question is, will the radio work in the UK? Can I get an adaptor to make it do so? I'll obviously have to buy the Europe DVD, but it's so damn cheap!!!!!

 

First off, the DVD software is ****ing expensive to prevent just this from being appealing, IIRC.

The tuning in the states goes in .2MHz steps, so you miss half the possible frequencies. Some radios are configurable through their interface, but its is damn hard to find out if it is configurable before it's sitting in front of you!

 

Is there an ICE forum that I could pose this question on?

On the subject of the DVD, I'm sure I could find someone to lend me a copy for an hour ;-)

Or I could just sell the US/Canada disk *they are currently going for $250 on US ebay.

I'd try talkaudio.co.uk to see if anyone's got experience of the unit you're after, and also possibly try googling. I think you may find links of sounddomain.com too for other US-based forums?
