From: Nottingham - HEY scumbag, leave my scoob alone!!!
Won't go far wrong with Kenwood mate, had a few through the years, never had one pack-up. I now run an 8080r with MP3 changer, sounds nice and clean, radio can be a little fussy though.
Just a suggestion, amp your front speakers, they will sound MUCH better than the H/U's internal amp, trust me. My fronts (infinity's) are being run by a Kenwood KAC-923 amp, they sound so much different now.

I want to upgrade the existing head unit in my 2001WRX for a kenwood mask unit.
I am looking at the KDC-8024 as a first choice.
Anybody out there got one? are they any good?
I have already upgraded the speakers to custom fit Kenwoods with dynomats which made a small improvement, but overall sound quality still crap.I have a Kenwood autochanger which i want to keep ,so other brand head units not really possible.
Any advice please!!
