My present car as a MY01 bugeye WRX , the standard ICE setup is cr@p , no volume , distortion , cd skips etc

Getting my Sti8 very soon and the standard kit looks subtely different but basically the same , is it any better ?

If not whats the best way to spend about £500 on a setup which will sound good ( mp3 would be nice , DAB even better ) , TBH this needs to be done without butchering the car too

any ideas ?

In a word - no

£500 will buy you a decent head unit and front speakers and a pocket to fill the gap under the stereo. Quite a few people use the pocket from a new Forrester. Do a search for the part no.

Alpine 7812(RB?) seems to be a good one, I've got it, as have a few others. And it can be bought for as little as 240 notes if you shop around.
